Job Description

You’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing industrial processes and equipment across Central Facilities. This role supports operational efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement initiatives from concept through start-up and certification, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out:
Analyze operations and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, product quality, sustainability, and cost performance.
Design, test, and upgrade systems and processes, including risk assessments and performance evaluations
Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, monitoring, and reliability assessments.
Maintain equipment, maintenance, and technical records within the computerized maintenance management system (iMaint).
Coordinate with service providers, technicians, and equipment manufacturers on commissioning, repairs, and upgrades.
Support food safety and quality compliance through process controls, monitoring, and risk mitigation activities.
Recommend equipment improvements and support installation and preventive maintenance development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and oversee contractors to support operational objectives.
Maintain a safe work environment by actively upholding Health and Safety, Environmental, and Management systems.
Establish best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and product quality.
Participate in emergency response activities as required.
Contribute to overall team success by taking on additional related responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience in process engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge of process engineering principles and related standards.
Working knowledge of process engineering software and experience with CAD or AutoCAD.
Knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, and materials; CMMS experience is considered an asset.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to read, interpret, and assist in preparing technical documents, including mechanical and civil drawings.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment and work at heights, including ladder use.
Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations and practices.
High standards of organization, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in an environment that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, repetitive tasks, frequent use of protective equipment, and work that may be performed in colder environments, with flexible availability including evenings, overnight, and weekends as required.
Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
