Further to this, we move to support our clients' evolving needs and as such strategically pursue opportunities to expand our suite of products and solutions.**Job Summary:**We are seeking a highly motivated Trade Finance ('TF') coverage banker to join a growing TDS Global Core Trade platform. Reporting to the Managing Director and Head of Global Core Trade, the candidate will be responsible for providing TF product coverage, structuring advice, working capital and risk mitigation solutions to a portfolio of Canadian domiciled, multinational corporates and for driving product penetration within assigned market. Proactivity, flexibility, technical product expertise, and origination discipline are required to deliver value from prospecting and pitching through deal structuring and execution. As a key product partner, the VP interacts with a wide variety of internal stakeholders including industry heads and sector leads within CIB and partners across credit management, GM, and GTB. A collegial and team-oriented view of success is very important to allow the candidate to fit into the team. Having an entrepreneurial mindset is critical to manage through the ambiguity and change associated with growing a business.**Job Responsibilities*** **Deal Origination & Structuring**
+ Responsible for end-to-end transaction lifecycle, including origination (due diligence and pitching), structuring, and execution of transactions and opportunities within assigned portfolio.
+ Lead origination efforts within assigned portfolio by identifying new opportunities to add new clients and increase our TF share of wallet.
+ Provides deal structuring expertise and prepares / oversees delivery of creative and timely term sheets and pitches.
+ Obtains credit concurrence and coordinates pricing approvals.
+ Arrange and engage in client calls and presentations.
+ Maintain an active pipeline of prospective new business.
+ Work closely with regional teams in the US, Toronto, London, Singapore, Montreal, and Vancouver.* **Client Engagement & Relationship Management**
+ Manage and deepen relationships with existing portfolio of clients through disciplined and dedicated coverage, serving as a trusted advisor and lead contact point for all TF matters.
+ Help clients navigate the organization; engage the relevant partners to assist in the resolution of client issues as necessary.* **Deal Execution**
+ Support and facilitate deal communication and client touchpoints (e.g., call reports) with the CIB relationship coverage team.
+ Assist with preparation of deal summaries and articulation of new deal opportunities.
+ Assist in the preparation of RAROC and pricing models.
+ Facilitate the negotiation of credit related documentation by engaging the relevant internal partners as appropriate, including GTB Credit Management, TDS Credit Management, and TD Legal. Apply a risk lens to every transaction and be able to formulate a position on the deal structure.
+ Steward transactions through successful credit approval to closing / funding.* **Portfolio Management**
+ Considers risk, internal controls, policies, compliance, and profitability as part of day-to-day accountabilities.
+ Coordinate with relevant credit and operational teams for ongoing maintenance of the TF portfolio.* **Collaboration & Cross-Functional Impact**
+ Works as a key member of the broader relationship coverage team within CIB, participating in joint calling / pitching efforts.
+ Understands the firms' coverage strategy, prospect universe, and risk appetite within assigned market / client segments.
+ Develops a calling and coverage plan in conjunction and with concurrence from the relevant CIB relationship managers.
+ Reviews, guides, and appropriately leverages work of Analysts and Associates to drive business results.
