Are you the person we're looking for?
We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support and grow our global software business. As a member of QNX’s talented and collegial legal team, you will draft and negotiate various legal agreements, as well as support the senior members of the QNX’s legal department on a wide range of matters, including (but not limited to) contracts, regulatory compliance, marketing/advertising, intellectual property issues, and legal research. We are looking for a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, attention to detail, strong ability to think critically and clearly communicate in writing, team focus, ability to work independently, and a “can do” attitude are the prerequisites for success.

You will:
Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including software license agreements, services agreements, partnering agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and related agreements
Advise and provide guidance on legal issues relating to commercial terms
Provide legal support on a wide variety of matters to mitigate legal risks while advancing business initiatives in compliance with corporate policies
Respond to business queries and evaluate and mitigate risks to provide appropriate legal solutions
What We’re Looking For
LLB or JD, with admission to practice law in Ontario
Proven legal experience in commercial law, contracts, ideally in the technology sector
Exceptional drafting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
Strong communication abilities — both written and verbal
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
Attention to detail, adaptability, and a “can‑do” attitude
