About the Role: The Project Engineer defines the requirements of a project, manage the planning, organization and controls of all the aspects of projects.

This is a new position in the company.

What you will be doing:

Lead Project Team(s) in order to Manage successful implementation of projects.

Conduct detailed reviews of Tender Documents to ensure it meets company standards, and project expectations.

Identify process improvement opportunities, investigate and action those opportunities to drive increased customer satisfaction and operating cost reductions.

Manage the integration of process improvements into business practices, establishing and maintaining high quality assurance standards, procedures and controls.

Maintain collaborative relationship with SME (Subject Matter Experts), Project Team Members and Management across the organization.

Raise awareness of, supports, and uses leading methods and tools in order to drive project management culture through the organization.

Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

What you will bring:

Minimum 5-10 years’ Plant Engineering & Project Management experience (capital and operational) within a manufacturing environment.

Food Industry experience is an asset.

Demonstrated success in building strong, collaborative teams, setting stretch objectives, and holding people accountable for commitments with a track record of delivery favorable results.

Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.

Knowledge of process improvement tools.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.

Computer literacy (MS Office), and strong proficiency with AutoCAD and project software.

Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering.

Six Sigma designation an asset.

PMP designation an asset.
