Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and versatile

In-House Legal Counsel

to provide a broad range of legal services and strategic guidance across our corporate and exploration activities. This role requires a well-rounded corporate generalist with strong analytical, contractual, and advocacy skills to support transactional legal matters across multiple Ore Group companies.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel on corporate and transactional matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and related documentation.

Support corporate governance matters, including board and shareholder documentation and regulatory compliance.

Advise on employment and labour-related matters, including policies, contracts, and proceedings before relevant tribunals if required.

Assist with dispute resolution and litigation management as needed.

Collaborate with business leaders to anticipate risks, provide proactive advice, and enable strategic decision‑making.

Manage and liaise with external counsel when specialized expertise is required.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) with strong academic credentials.

Member in good standing of the Ontario Bar.

2–5 years of experience in‑house or at a law firm, with exposure to corporate/commercial matters.

Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach.

Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Adaptability and willingness to work across a wide range of legal areas.
