We’re excited to announce an opening for a Head of Sales & Marketing in order to lead the sales and marketing department and help the company with its growth in the North American region. You will be responsible for sales in Canada and the U.S.
This role is ideal for someone who combines deep sales expertise with strong leadership skills, and who thrives on delivering customer value through technology. You’ll have the opportunity to coach and lead a small sales team, shape strategy, and play a critical role in the success of our projects as our teams continue to grow.
In this role, you would be a “Player Coach”, responsible for both achieving your own sales targets and the total team’s rolled up quota
Your day to day responsibilities:
Consistently achieve sales targets through deal cycle management
Leading a small team of enterprise sales account executives and also the product marketing department
Develop a sales strategy for the organization for the specific segment and execute the sales strategy successfully
Drive the acquisition of of new customers and achieve or overachieve the sales target
Create partnerships opportunities to drive revenue growth
Develop sales events, demos and other channels to generate brand awareness and lead conversions
Work cross functionally with the marketing and product team
Deepen relationships with our partners
Implement, test and use a variety of technologies to capture lead generation activities and use data-driven insights to increase conversion rates and reduce customer acquisition time (for example AI tools, segmentation tools and other technologies)
Develop an understanding of the industry, stay up to date with industry trends and understand the best way to position the company and its products
Achieve both personal sales targets and the total team’s rolled-up quota.
Provide guidance, advice and mentorship to the salesteam
Provide feedback, coaching, deal strategy and forecasting
Improve sales structures, processes, KPIs, tools and best practices for the team
Monitor team metrics, run daily check-ins, and provide 1:1 coaching to improve conversion rates
Qualifications
Ideally, you have sold professional services or have an IT consulting background
You have experience selling to Enterprise clients and
You love leading teams and building departments
You've created sales processes and playbooks and implemented them successfully
You have an entrepreneurial background and have worked in a start-up environment and succeeded in such an environment
You’re naturally a sales person that develops relationships easily and have an ability to close deals and be persuasive
You have a growth mindset and apply this to all areas of yourlife
You’re ambitious and a big-picture thi n ker.
Your Experience
You have proven leadership experience, at least 2 years leading sales teams, and you enjoy coaching and mentoring others
You have at least 8 years of sales experience and have the drive and ambition to continue to close deals
Your have experience with longer sales cycles
Training in Challenger, MEDDIC or similar methodology
