Finance Consultant – 6 Month Contract About the Opportunity

Working with the Director of Finance; gathering and analyzing input from various departments to develop new accounting policies primarily related to specific areas of IFRS

Researching latest IFRS developments and preparing IFRS position papers

Financial modeling and performing analytics to assess the financial statement impact

Provide accurate and timely information for reporting to SEC parent and OSFI

Assist with the month-end and year-end close process

Deliver insightful and timely management information and analysis to the executive team

Maintaining an internal control environment to ensure compliance with internal, external and SOX audits

About You

CPA, CA with 3-5 years’ experience

Strong knowledge of and experience with accounting, regulatory and taxation issues

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure while ensuring accuracy and completeness of information

Demonstrated people management and development skills

Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Pay Rate $50 / Hour
