About the Opportunity
Valuation Responsibilities
Support the valuation review process for Private Equity, Private Credit, and Infrastructure by reviewing Investment Management valuation memos, building independent valuation models, conducting valuation analyses (public comps, transactions, industry research), and preparing preliminary fair value recommendations for discussion with the Director.
Document analyses in valuation dashboards and communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
Engage with Investment Management to clarify valuation differences and gather additional information.
New Investments & Ongoing Monitoring
Assist with onboarding new investments by reviewing deal structures, legal documents, and investment memos, and setting up valuation models.
Support ongoing monitoring of existing investments, including tracking financial metrics, reviewing MD&A, and staying current on each investment’s lifecycle.
Valuation Standards, Best Practices & Process Improvements
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of valuation and fair value standards (CICBV, IFRS, IPEV) and relevant methodologies (equity, preferred shares, debt instruments, Black–Scholes).
Contribute to developing valuation best practices, standardized models, and reporting.
Financial Controls, Reporting & Audit Support
Support the implementation and maintenance of financial control systems for the portfolios.
Assist with external audits by preparing working papers, supporting documentation, and responding to valuation‑related queries.
Prepare financial statements for U.S. and Canadian holding companies and ensure accurate sub‑ledger entries.
Respond to Investment Management inquiries and provide analysis as required.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year‑end reporting.
About You
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or related discipline
Professional designation such as CPA, and CBV required (candidate may be enrolled and working through the process)
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
Salary Range
$100,000 - $125,000/year
