The Senior Financial Analyst is a professional that plays an important role in the overall management and development of the financial activities for Rogers Wireless service revenue and wireless equipment finance. This position works closely with various teams to provide value‑added Financial Planning, analysis and reporting.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for forecast and budgeting for wireless revenue and hardware planning.
Responsible for the overall month‑end closing and planning process.
Have a thorough understanding of IFRS 15 contract accounting.
Lead the analysis of weekly/monthly results and issue required reports and reconciliations.
Coordinate revenue‑related issues with various departments.
Conduct analysis on subscriber and revenue trends and provide recommendations.
Prepare month‑end variance analysis and commentaries vs budget and forecasts.
Build and maintain revenue and KPI budget and forecast models at the regional and national level.
Ensure data integrity in models and reports while innovating to improve efficiency.
Lead special projects / ad‑hoc assignments as required.
Provide ad‑hoc and self‑driven financial analysis as needed to improve business.
Participate in preparation of budget and forecast process.
What You’ll Bring
Strong technical accounting skills with an accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA) or MBA.
3‑5 years of progressive financial experience.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, planning and organizational skills.
Comfort and confidence dealing with senior leadership.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and competing priorities under short timelines.
Expert level working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating others.
Self‑motivated with a positive attitude, determined to learn and sharpen skills on an ongoing basis.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence across the organization.
Knowledge of Essbase and V21 is an asset.
