Integrated Sustainability and Compliance Business Unit Director
Join Arcadis, the worldโs leading sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions provider, as the Integrated Sustainability and Compliance (ISC) Business Unit Director. This role reports to the Canadian Resilience Business Area Director and leads the ISC group comprising Sustainable Operations, Sustainability Advisory, and Digital EHS &S business units.
Role Description
Arcadis seeks a motivated leader to build and grow a professional services group. Responsibilities include leadership, financial performance, team development, collaboration across the matrix, and delivery of the business unit metrics and the Resilience bottom line.
Services Delivered
Sustainable Operations โ risk, EHS compliance, advisory, industrial hygiene, permitting & compliance, M&A due diligence.
Digital EHS
Sustainability Advisory
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Business Growth & Financial Performance โ achieve annual financial targets, identify market opportunities, and expand ISC services.
Leadership & Team Development โ hire, manage resources, performance management, professional development, and create a motivating environment.
Collaboration & Coordination โ work with account teams, market sector leaders, service line leaders, and corporate services to advance GEC usage, MEPC, digital offerings, and sustainability.
Training, Quality & Safety โ ensure staff receive necessary technical, project management, health & safety, and client-specific training; steward health and safety.
Business Development & Commercial Success โ oversee RFP responses, commercial offerings, and partner with Growth and Service Line teams to sell ISC services and achieve profitable growth.
Qualifications & Experience
12โ15 years in environmental or engineering consultancy.
Bachelorโs degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
Experience as an Arcadis team or area leader, or in a similar role elsewhere, with operational business unit management.
Track record of building successful consulting teams and leading client account teams.
Strong oral and written communication skills and analytical thinking.
Ability to collaborate with business unit directors, market sector leaders, and solutions directors.
Solid understanding of Arcadis capabilities, strategy, and priorities.
Salary
The salary range for this position is $166,000โ216,000. Base salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
