I am collaborating with our client, a machinery manufacturing company based on the south shore of Montreal, in their search for a transportation coordinator.

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, here are the responsibilities: - Tracking the required project dates and communicating any project delays to the sales representative. - Selecting the carrier that is best suited to transport goods at the most cost-effective rates. - Maintaining strong customer relationships by responding to questions and concerns promptly and professionally. - Coordinating between the factory and clients to ensure timely shipment and delivery. - Creating loading plans. - Generating the necessary shipping documents (delivery receipts, bills of lading). - Thoroughly monitoring every shipment, ensuring client instructions are followed, and the merchandise is delivered in perfect condition. - Responding to pricing requests from the estimation team within specified deadlines. - Monthly evaluation of the effectiveness of transport companies and making necessary recommendations. - Handling claims for damages and managing non-compliance issues. - Ensuring that invoiced prices match the quoted prices. DEC. or A.E.C in logistics or any other relevant field; Experience with customs (an asset). Knowledge of the MS Office suite; Relational skills; Autonomy and initiative; Positive attitude and dynamism; Attention to detail; Client orientation; Good problem solving and time management skills; Good organizational skills; Ability to adapt quickly to change; Ability to work under pressure on occasion; Ability to concentrate.
