About the Role:
As a Project Manager Lead (Senior Consulting Manager), you will make an impact by driving key business initiatives from requirements gathering through successful delivery. You will be a valued member of the project and PMO team and work collaboratively with stakeholders, cross‑functional partners, and implementation vendors to ensure solutions are clearly defined, effectively designed, and delivered with excellence.
In this role, you will:
Lead Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) initiatives by guiding policy updates, governance framework improvements, and compliance-driven process changes.
Drive Identity & Access Management (IAM) project execution, including SailPoint Go‑Live, policy implementations, RBAC structuring, and Okta integrations.
Oversee Cybersecurity program delivery, ensuring successful rollout of Internet Proxy upgrades, SOC enhancements, EDR solutions, and Insider Threat initiatives.
Support Enterprise Data Management (EDM) efforts by coordinating workstreams related to data retention, data strategy, and data lake development.
Ensure cross-team alignment and risk mitigation by collaborating with security, data, IAM, and governance leaders to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
What you need to have to be considered:
Business Analysis
Requirement Elicitation: Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys with stakeholders to identify business goals and technical needs.
Process Analysis: Evaluate current business models and workflows (AS-IS) to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for automation.
Documentation: Author detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), User Stories, and Functional Specifications for development teams.
Solution Design: Collaborate with IT teams to design systems or process improvements that align with strategic goals.
Quality Assurance & Testing: Develop test cases and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet the defined business needs.
Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration
Engage implementation partners and vendors to manage scope, delivery quality, and contractual commitments.
Support the development of organizational change management and communications to promote adoption and awareness of delivered capabilities.
Continuous Improvement & PMO Contribution
Participate in post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions to capture insights and continuously improve portfolio execution maturity.
Champion a culture of delivery excellence, accountability, and partnership across all levels of the organization.
What you need to be considered
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Consulting background with demonstrated experience in strategic thinking and problem solving, ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective and appropriate solutions.
Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to build and maintain strong relationships with business owners.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
PMP or other project management certification is preferred
These will help you stand out
Hands‑on experience with Identity & Access Management platforms (SailPoint, Okta, RBAC design, policy enforcement)
Strong understanding of enterprise governance frameworks (GRC, policy lifecycle management, compliance alignment)
Cybersecurity solution exposure (EDR tools, SOC processes, Insider Threat programs)
Data governance or EDM experience (data retention standards, data lake concepts, data strategy work)
Ability to manage cross‑functional technical teams across security, data, and IAM workstreams

Compensation
$98,000 CAD - $158,000 CAD
per year.
Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
