What You’ll Do
As An SW3 Android Engineer, You Will
Design, build, and maintain high-quality native Android features using Kotlin
Translate product and design requirements into clean, scalable, testable production code
Contribute to modular architecture with loosely coupled, reusable components
Implement modern Android design patterns (MVVM, MVI, unidirectional data flow)
Write unit tests and automation tests for shipped features
Participate actively in code reviews and raise engineering quality across the team
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Backend, Data, and Platform teams
Propose multiple technical design approaches with tradeoffs and effort estimates
Debug production issues using monitoring and observability tools
Improve performance, reliability, and crash-free metrics
Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the org
This role requires strong ownership of features from design through launch and iteration.
What You Bring
4+ years of professional experience in native Android development
Strong proficiency in Kotlin, including coroutines, lambdas, flows, and advanced language features
Experience with modern Android architecture components
Experience building modularized Android applications
Familiarity with dependency management (Gradle, Artifactory)
Understanding of memory management and performance optimization
Experience with unit testing and Android testing frameworks
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
Basic understanding of system design for large-scale consumer mobile applications
Familiarity with production monitoring and debugging tools
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
A growth mindset and curiosity about emerging Android technologies (e.g., Jetpack Compose, performance tooling, AI-assisted features)

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
4+ years of experience in native Android development
Experience implementing modern Android design patterns
Understanding of Android testing tools and methodologies
Experience with production monitoring and performance optimization
Familiarity with CI/CD practices
Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected to be in the range below: C$118,000 - C$157,500. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include a target bonus and restricted stock units, plus a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. Details of participation in these plans will be provided if an offer is made.
