Business YWCA Saskatoon

Job Description

Founded in 1910, YWCA Saskatoon is a community-based organization dedicated to advancing equity, safety, and opportunity for women, girls, and families in Saskatoon. While part of YWCA Canada, it operates independently to respond directly to local community needs. For more than a century, YWCA Saskatoon has been a trusted place where people find safety, build independence, and move forward with dignity. Through trauma-informed, culturally responsive programs, the organization addresses housing insecurity, violence, poverty, employment barriers, childcare access, and wellness. Guided by values of inclusion, cultural humility, courage, and a deep commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, YWCA Saskatoon works alongside women, girls, families, and youth to strengthen community wellbeing. https://www.ywcasaskatoon.com/ WHY WORK FOR YWCA SASKATOON?

This is not simply a CEO role; it is a chance to steward the YWCA Saskatoon into its next chapter of impact. YWCA Saskatoon is entering into the next phase, with initiatives coming to life and expanding its capacity to serve, while remaining deeply rooted in its mission. The Board is engaged, values-driven, and committed to partnership. The staff team brings heart, expertise, and lived commitment to the work. Whatโ€™s needed now is a leader who is drawn to the mission, vison and values of the YWCA, leading meaningful change while staying close to community, people, and impact. For the right leader, it is both a professional challenge and a personal calling. THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Board of Directors, you are responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the YWCA Saskatoon. As the public face and main spokesperson, you will foster and strengthen trusted relationships with Indigenous partners, governments, funders, donors, and community stakeholders, while internally promoting a trauma-informed, inclusive culture where people feel supported, respected, and empowered to do their best work. Balancing empathy with sound judgment and vision with execution, overseeing complex operations, managing financial health, enhancing revenue diversification, and ensuring programs remain high-quality, compliant, and aligned with shifting community needs. You will also play a vital role in promoting reconciliation and diversity and in engaging all stakeholders, including government, donors, and the community. WHO YOU ARE

You are a values-driven, relationship-focused leader who deeply believes in the mission of the YWCA. You bring extensive senior leadership experience in complex, multi-service settings and are comfortable navigating governance, funding systems, and public accountability. You lead with cultural humility, integrity, and courage, and are recognized for listening, building trust, and guiding people through change. You are just as comfortable in boardrooms as in community spaces, can translate strategy into action, and are motivated by impact rather than ego. A commitment to equity, reconciliation, and community wellbeing is not just theoretical for you; it is personal, lived, and evident in how you lead. If this role aligns with your leadership experience and your dedication to meaningful community impact, we would love to hear from you.
