Job Description

DRA Global Limited is an international engineering group focused on the mining, minerals, and metals industry.

We are looking for a talented

Senior Project Engineer

to work in our Toronto or Montreal office on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering and discipline project design activities relating to concept, pre‑feasibility, feasibility studies, EPCM and EPC projects.

Manage engineering teams in projects and across large studies with a project delivery focus.

Provide leadership and support to the Engineering team through supervision, mentoring, training, and motivation to produce engineering deliverables for projects and studies.

Lead, coordinate and manage all engineering and design functions for a study / project.

Ensure areas of uncertainty are highlighted and actions are taken to address them.

Promote collaboration with other functional groups and stakeholders for engineering matters.

Interface between Engineering and other disciplines on the project including Project Controls, Project Management, Procurement, Contracts, Construction, suppliers, and the client team.

Mentoring and development of less experienced personnel.

Support ongoing improvement and maintenance of engineering systems and procedures.

Use and support the maintenance of engineering standards across projects and studies by identifying and implementing best practice and holding the team to account for quality.

Develop and update project‑specific procedures and workflows.

Ensure that procurement packages are effectively managed in accordance with the project schedule.

Ensure that project quality is managed in accordance with the project quality plan or project specific requirements.

Ensure the appropriate level and quality of technical/engineering input is provided timely into the compilation and management of all procurement packages.

Manage engineering scope of work and deliverable schedule to meet the project and corporate requirements.

Ensure designs produced are in accordance with capital budget and quantities.

Ensure suitable contract management is applied to managed procurement packages.

Manage, control, and record all changes to engineering scope of work within the project and/or engineering change control system, ensuring the impact on schedule, cost and quality are calculated, communicated, approved, and formalized.

Skills / Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

10–15+ years of Project Engineering experience in a multi‑disciplinary environment on major projects with a specific focus on mining and processing.

Demonstrated ability to develop new, proprietary, and innovative solutions to current processes.

Professional Engineer in Canada (typically Ontario or Quebec).

Strong Leadership, solid communication & interpersonal skills.
