Position Overview Reporting to the Applications Lead/Manager, the Applications Engineer provides technical support for Molycop grinding media across customer sites, helping optimize milling performance and resolve operational issues. The position combines field support, data analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration to improve product performance, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure safe, high‑quality service delivery within mining and mineral processing environments. The estimated travel requirement for this position is 25%.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for grinding media and related products.

Visit customers to assess needs and advise on process optimization.

Train customers on product use and best practices.

Investigate concerns and recommend improvements.

Monitor performance data and prepare customer analytics.

Support forecasting and track competitive information.

Coordinate with internal teams for smooth order execution.

Maintain accurate documentation and follow QMS/EMS/OHS requirements.

Represent Molycop professionally and build strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mineral Processing, or related field.

5+ years in mineral processing, preferably grinding circuits.

Strong knowledge of SAG and ball mill operations and grinding media.

Experience in technical support, optimization, or product application.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and technical data analysis.

Strong communication skills for reports, presentations, and customer interactions.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and conduct root‑cause analysis.

Able to work independently, manage priorities, and make sound decisions.
