Together with our partners, approximately 1,900 GTAA employees are working to create a next‑generation airport by innovating in all we do and striving for the most uplifting, safe and efficient experience for our passengers – all while championing the prosperity of our people, the community we call home, and our aviation partners. Join us on our journey together, as we put the joy back into travel and make Toronto Pearson the chosen place to fly and work. What's in it for you?

An opportunity to grow, develop, and thrive within a dynamic, fast‑growing company alongside thoughtful and passionate individuals dedicated to their work and community. Eligibility to participate in our Group Health Benefits Program. A flexible hybrid work environment, continuous internal and external learning opportunities, and a meaningful reward and recognition program. The Director, Treasury is a senior finance leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You will be the central authority anchoring the GTAA’s enterprise funding and liquidity mandate, ensuring resilient funding for both daily operations and our multi‑year capital program. This is a mandate for transformation: you will be expected to lead the shift from traditional, transactional cash management to a policy‑driven, automated treasury operation. This transition will free up capacity within your team for high‑value strategic insight and decision support, directly influencing the organization’s credit profile and capital structure. You will manage crucial external relationships with banks, lenders, and credit rating agencies, acting as a key financial voice for the organization. As Director, Treasury, you will:

Strategically lead enterprise‑wide cash management, developing and maintaining robust short‑ and long‑term cash forecasting processes to meet all operational and capital requirements. Directly manage the GTAA’s entire debt portfolio, including the issuance, refinancing and optimisation of bond and loan programmes. You will develop and execute capital markets strategies to ensure financial flexibility and optimise the cost of capital. Manage relationships with credit rating agencies, articulate the company’s financial strategy and risk profile, and implement actions necessary to maintain or enhance the company’s credit rating. Design, implement and maintain treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls (including debt and investment policies) to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and data integrity across all treasury systems and banking architecture. Oversee banking architecture, payment and collection processes, and lead process automation initiatives within the Treasury function to shift the team’s focus toward insight and advisory. Deliver forward‑looking analysis and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership on critical funding, liquidity and capital structure decisions, ensuring transparent reporting of financial risks and opportunities. Coach, develop and set standards for the Treasury team while fostering cross‑functional collaboration with Controllership, Capital Planning and Risk Management teams. This is the role for you, if you have:

10+ years of progressive experience in Treasury and Capital Markets, with at least 7 years leading teams and cross‑functional initiatives. CPA and/or CFA designation. Proven track record managing public debt programmes and credit rating agency engagement. Experience in capital‑intensive, regulated or infrastructure/aviation environments. Advanced proficiency in liquidity and cash‑flow forecasting, debt portfolio strategy, covenant management, banking architecture and controls, and treasury policy design. Strong financial modelling and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related field. Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance. The GTAA is committed to Employment Equity and maintaining a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
