Dillon Consulting: Engineering Graduate Scholarship
Be among the first 25 applicants to join Dillon Consulting Limited as we offer a one‑time $5,000 scholarship, up to two additional one‑time $2,000 scholarships, and full‑time employment upon completion of the program. The role is available at our Ontario, East Coast, Manitoba, and Alberta offices and includes flexible work hours to help balance professional and personal commitments.

Responsibilities
Assist project managers with multi‑disciplinary projects
Assist in the preparation of engineering designs including:
Engineering studies
Technical specifications
Design calculations
Drafting of ongoing and new projects using CAD software
Complete design activities to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project completion
Assist with site investigations and condition assessments
Assist with contract administration tasks including construction layout, construction observation, contractor submittal review, progress payment preparation, and responding to requests for information
Complete review of safe work practices and perform risk assessments for employee tasks
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
Contribute to business development activities, including client need research, preparation of project proposals, and presentations
Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees
Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request
Participation in the Early Career Development program

Qualifications
A degree in engineering from the University of Waterloo
One to two years of co‑op or work experience with exposure to consulting is considered an asset
Experience
Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial engineering standards, regulatory requirements, industry standards, specifications, and good engineering practices will be considered an asset
Understanding of project design and implementation activities, including development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, and contract administration, will be considered an asset
Proficiency in current AutoCAD software; working knowledge of Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or InRoads software will be considered an asset
Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
