Accounting Manager

Northbay Recruiter is partnering with one of Napa Valley's most respected wineries, in search for their next Accounting Manager. In this role, your expertise will directly shape the financial success of a growing, dynamic wine business. What You’ll Do

Lead the full monthly close cycle—from journal entries to reconciliations to polished financial statements

Review, approve, and mentor staff on journal entries and accounting best practices

Analyze financial performance and dig into variances to tell the story behind the numbers

Deliver clear, insightful monthly financial reporting for senior leadership

Champion process improvements to streamline the close and elevate accuracy

Own Fixed Asset Management

Oversee asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation

Conduct periodic physical counts and ensure a clean, accurate fixed asset register

Inventory & Compliance

Manage inventory tracking across multiple winery locations and workflows

Reconcile movement of goods across the production and distribution processes

Partner closely with operations to strengthen inventory practices

Maintain multi-state licensing and filings

Prepare and file sales and excise tax compliance reports

What Sets You Up for Success

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3–7 years of progressive accounting experience; leadership experience preferred

Wine industry experience is a major plus—but strong candidates from related industries are encouraged to apply

Strong GAAP knowledge and a passion for accurate, meaningful financial reporting

Compensation This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive salary range of $115,000-$135,000 DOE, plus great perks that come with working in wine country.
