About Good People Only Good People Only is a Toronto-based artist management company representing high-growth, globally active artists. Our priority artists generate north of $6M annually and our team supports their business across touring, merchandise, distribution, brand partnerships, licensing, physical retail, and digital ecosystems. We are a team of 8 and scaling quickly. Our objective is 10X growth. We intend to build a 15+ person team and a 20+ artist roster in the next stage of expansion. This is a scale-stage company. Standards are high. Execution matters.

The Role The Director of Artist Management reports directly to the Founder. You will serve as the operational leader for two priority artists who account for a large segment of company focus and revenue. These artists are internet-native, high-volume, and campaign-dense. Their businesses are complex and global, with significant touring activity in the United States. You are the Founder’s eyes, ears, and voice across all matters relating to these artists. This is an execution role with authority. You are responsible for ensuring objectives are executed at or above standard at all times. It is your responsibility to execute at a high level to capture opportunity and revenue for our clients so the Founder can focus on strategically creating opportunity and revenue.

Core Responsibilities You will:

Lead meetings with artists and partners

Enforce accountability across internal departments

Oversee campaign calendars and cross-functional execution

Supervise touring strategy and ensure agents secure optimal deals

Oversee brand partnerships, licensing coordination, and retail timelines

Set and monitor budgets

Approve spend within defined thresholdsTrack weekly KPIs and revenue performance

Identify bottlenecks and eliminate them

Build and refine operational systems for your pod

You will work alongside the Head of Digital, Label Operations Manager, and Marketing team while directly managing the Artist Management Coordinator assigned to your artists. Campaign execution is strong. Systems need refinement. Founder bandwidth is constrained. You will solve for this.

Authority You will:

Set priorities across departments for your artists

Make operational decisions independently

Challenge strategy when necessary

Hold creative personalities accountable

Escalate only when decisions materially impact company direction

You must be comfortable leading from the front and being decisive.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years operating inside artist management, label, touring, agency, or comparable high-performance environments

Demonstrated ability to run complex, multi-market campaigns

Experience supervising teams and enforcing accountability

Strong financial literacy and budget oversight experience

Technological fluency across modern collaboration and automation tools

High organizational discipline

Experience dealing directly with artists

Full professional focus. No side ventures.

Music industry fluency is strongly preferred.

What Success Looks Like Within 12 months:

Systems are streamlined

Campaigns run without friction

Founder bandwidth improves materially

Priority artists experience operational clarity and confidence

Within 24 months:

You are positioned for Managing Director or divisional leadership

Equity participation is under consideration

You are building or overseeing expanded roster responsibilities

Compensation

Base salary: $90,000–$120,000 depending on experience

Commission participation on priority artists

Performance-based incentives tied to revenue growth and execution

Equity participation evaluated at end of Year 1 and Year 2

Compensation rewards performance, accountability, and growth.
