Job Description
Overview
Reporting to the Project Quality Lead, the Project Quality Coordinator (E&I) is responsible for the review, organization and submission of project quality documentation as required by the Quality Assurance Integrity Management System (QAIMS) and Project Quality Plan.
Responsibilities
Ensure Electrical and Instrumentation equipment installation in Hazardous Areas is following relevant technical Specification, local and international Codes and Standards.
Oversee 3rd party Team completing inspections on Ex Equipment
Provide surveillance of Ex equipment during installation.
Audit work being completed by 3rd party conducting Ex inspections to ensure compliance with Project requirements.
Check and verify Electrical Construction Ex Inspection and Test Records are completed correctly and any faults are recorded as per the project requirements.
Update and Validate projects Ex-Register
Follow the Project-specific Ex integrity Assurance plan.
Provide reports on effects found and recommended corrective actions.
Deliverables
Generate and Maintain Equipment tracking databases
Produce reports for surveillance, audits and inspections
Generate, monitor and close out Nonconformance reports and punch list
Assist with Developing project processes and procedures as required
Qualifications
Instrumentation and Controls Technician (Red Seal)
Hazardous Areas ‘Ex” Training
Experience in completion and overseeing evaluation of Ex equipment required for Offshore Installations in hazardous areas as per ATEX and IEC.
5+ years’ experience working on Projects in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Competency
Experience in reviewing fabrication/technical documentation
Manufacturing record books
Material Test Reports/ Material Traceability
Equipment Test Reports
Experience/knowledge working aligned with certifying authorities regarding certification and installation of Project Equipment
Knowledge of the following codes and standards:
Canadian Electrical Code
API 17D
API 14F
Proficiency with Bluebeam, Power BI, SAP software and MS suite of products
Working Conditions
Office based in St. John, NL
Occasional travel as required by the Project
Monday-Friday, 40 hours work week.
