Consultant, Valuation – Ryan
The Consultant, Valuation works independently on valuations on a variety of complex assignments with a solid understanding of appraisal principles across multiple asset types. The role involves engaging with clients, preparing complex valuation reports, conducting independent research, and ensuring high-quality inputs to facilitate report integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities
Create a positive team member experience.
Engage with and respond to client inquiries and requests.
Actively engage with client upon report completion to discuss any valuation questions that may arise.
Undertake research and critical thinking, and complete complex valuation reports independently with peer review.
Communicate and liaise with industry experts.
Show diligence in meeting monthly budget targets.
Achieve AACI or complete necessary training to become AACI‑certified.
Education and Experience
Post‑secondary degree required; preference for business (real estate) background.
Path to AACI designation nearing completion is an asset.
Minimum two years’ experience in valuation.
Desire to perform in a high‑energy team environment.
Demonstrates leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, manage ambiguity, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
Seek to advance involvement in the real estate industry through professional organization meetings and networking.
Computer Skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet navigation and research. Experience with appraisal‑related programs such as Argus is an asset.
Certificates and Licenses
Valid driver’s license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has limited supervisory responsibilities; an analyst may be mentored on basic appraisal practice.
Work Environment
Standard indoor working environment.
Occasional long periods of sitting or standing while working.
Regular interaction with employees and clients both in person, via e‑mail and telephone.
Independent travel requirement: 50–100 %.

Compensation
The base salary for this position is $50,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation, performance bonuses, or additional benefits, subject to company policy.
