Duties and Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Lead an integrated team of electrical engineers, designers and drafters for small to medium sized projects for various clients

Assign resources to prepare deliverables including, but not limited to single line drawings, area classifications drawings, cable tray layouts, panel layouts, cable/panel schedules, JB wiring diagrams

EHT isometrics, electrical load lists specifications/datasheets for electrical equipment, RFQs/POs for electrical equipment and materials, etc.

Tracking the progress of engineering deliverables and communicating regularly with the Program Engineering Manager;

coping and man-hour estimating for new projects.

Take responsibility for the quality of all deliverables produced by the electrical team

Manpower planning for the electrical team

Requirements

20 years or more of accomplished experience in facilities engineering and design in the oil & gas industry with preference given to experience in thermal heavy oil

Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and registered as a professional engineer in Alberta is a must

Proven Experience leading a team of at least 6 engineers/designers

Experience in leading and developing a team is essential

This is a key leadership position and strategic managerial skills & experience is a must

Work experience across Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls is considered an asset

Experience with thermal heavy oil production projects is an asset
