About the Company We are launching a disciplined, risk‑focused alternate lending financial platform backed by committed capital. The company is structured for scalable growth with a focus on underwriting quality, capital efficiency, and long‑term portfolio performance.

We are currently in pre‑deployment stage and are building our core team before initiating capital deployment.

Role Overview The Head of Underwriting will be the first senior credit hire and will play a foundational role in building the underwriting framework, credit policy, and portfolio risk strategy from day one.

This is a hands‑on role suited for an experienced MCA underwriter who wants to help build a platform properly, with discipline, data, and long‑term profitability in mind.

You will help design the risk architecture before scale begins.

Key Responsibilities Build the Underwriting Framework.

Develop credit policy and approval guidelines

Establish industry exposure limits

Define stacking tolerance thresholds

Create deal structuring standards (factor pricing, holdback, term)

Deal Evaluation

Review merchant applications and supporting documentation

Analyze bank statements and processing history

Identify fraud risk and adverse patterns

Approve, decline, or restructure deals

Portfolio Risk Strategy

Define default targets and monitoring systems

Design cohort tracking methodology

Collaborate on capital allocation discipline

Support investor reporting with risk data

Infrastructure & Process

Help select underwriting tools and CRM systems

Develop approval workflows

Prepare for hiring junior underwriters as scale increases

Ideal Candidate

5–10+ years in MCA or alternative small business lending

Strong experience reviewing bank statements and merchant processing

Deep understanding of stacking and layered capital risk

Experience working in a growth‑stage lender

Comfortable building systems from scratch

Entrepreneurial mindset
