team, the country’s leading automotive financing portal, processing over 6.5 million credit applications annually.

The Software Engineering Manager is a key leadership role responsible for guiding and empowering a high‑performing team of engineers and quality associates. This role ensures the team efficiently executes engineering projects while delivering impactful solutions to user problems.

As a hands‑on leader, the Software Engineering Manager is responsible for hiring, training, mentoring team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. The Manager proactively identifies and removes barriers, streamlines workflows, drives continuous improvement, oversees project timelines, collaborates with cross‑functional teams, and ensures adherence to operational best practices to mitigate and prevent customer‑impacting issues.

Ultimately, the Software Engineering Manager is accountable for team success, balancing strategic direction with day‑to‑day execution, and ensuring seamless delivery of high‑quality software solutions.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Help build a high‑performing team by addressing capability gaps, hiring the right talent, nurturing top performers, and managing underperformance through candid conversationsli>

Assist team to make decisions within a clear framework, delegate effectively to promote growth, and balance autonomy with guidance.

Provide regular feedback, set clear expectations and support engineers career growth.

Provide technical guidance by leveraging deep knowledge of the team’s services, architecture, and data flows, participating in design discussions, and reviewing technical decisions to optimize for resiliency, cost, and performance.

Ensure system security, reliability, and performance by enforcing secure design principles, implementing threat modeling, maintaining situational awareness through monitoring and alerting, and refining Service Level Objectives (SLOs) based on stakeholder expectations.

Collaborate with stakeholders across business development, dealer support, lender products, and third‑party service providers to drive alignment and strategic execution.

Translate product vision into actionable technology features and implementation strategies while effectively communicating the technology roadmap to senior stakeholders and team members.

Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance team productivity and software quality.

Provide hands‑on mentorship and coaching, removing impediments and fostering both technical and professional growth within the team.

Oversee team operations, including performance management and administrative functions, ensuring a high‑performing and engaged workforce.

Communicate management decisions with clarity, ensuring alignment, commitment, and seamless execution across the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Microsoft .Net platform development in C#, ASP.Net, MVC, Web API, etc. using Visual Studio and related tooling.

Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban) and related tools (i.e.: JIRA and Confluence).

GitHub for source control.

Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Experience.

Experience managing a team of direct engineering reports. A hands‑on leader, mentor, and coach to development team members.

Excellent written & spoken English communication & presentation skills.

University Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related subject.

8+ years of software development experience with at least 3+ years of management experience in the software industry; strong knowledge of website design, functionality usability, and web‑based application architectures.

Experience in the fintech industry on either the agency or lender side. Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and security controls.

Strong experience with Microsoft platform web development.

Experience with cloud‑based solutions, ideally with AWS.
