What can you expect in this role? Lead and oversee a team of litigation lawyers handling tort claims litigation

Contribute to leadership of Definity’s Claims Litigation Unit

Opportunity to provide advice to the Claims department on tort claims litigation handling generally

Limited caseload of litigation files

What do you bring to the role? Demonstrated leadership abilities with at least 3 years coaching or mentoring other lawyers

At least 4‑10 years of litigation experience, especially personal injury and/or insurance defence

Strong commitment to coaching and mentoring developing lawyers

Passion for finding better ways

Empathy and ability to motivate

High degree of personal ethics, integrity and responsibility

Team player, adaptable to a changing environment

Law Degree from an accredited law school (LLB or Juris Doctor)

Licensed by the Law Society of Alberta to practice law as a lawyer in Alberta

Salary Range $161,900 - $211,900

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
