Subscription Infrastructure : Manage and improve billing experience and drive monetization.

Sign Up & Trial : Help new service providers navigate the onboarding journey and convert trials to subscriptions.

Harbour Foundations : Build internal AI‑powered customer journey foundations.

Expansion : Empower users with product‑led discovery and seamless adoption of new features.

Responsibilities

Be involved in the full life‑cycle of a feature, from ideation to delivery and adoption.

Participate in code review and testing, driving consistent, reusable engineering practices.

Facilitate discussions to determine the best solution to customer problems.

Research, communicate, and advocate for best practices within the team.

Mentor and coach junior teammates, fostering skill growth.

Understand customer workflows to improve Jobber’s online and mobile apps.

Utilize AI tools to enhance development practices, while respecting human creativity.

Qualifications

Senior software engineering experience in a full‑stack team.

Strong writing and coding in multiple languages; expertise with JavaScript/TypeScript (Ruby on Rails, React, React Native).

Agile/Scrum experience throughout the software development lifecycle.

Systems focus, building foundational software for large, scaled applications.

Ability to switch between features and projects quickly, with an experimental mindset.

Deep knowledge of full‑stack frameworks, architectures, technologies, and patterns.

Inquisitive mindset and open to new ideas.

Self‑serve, initiative‑driven, resource‑seeking mindset.

Enthusiasm for delivering value to customers early and often.

Technical mentorship and sharing industry best practices.

Experience with developer AI tools like Copilot or Cursor.

Preferred Experience

Tech leadership exposure.

Kafka knowledge and basic AWS knowledge (Lambda, ECS, EC2).

Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL in production.

Hiring Process

Interview with Talent team member (45 minutes).

Hiring Manager interview (60 minutes).

Take‑home challenge followed by a functional interview (90 minutes).

Senior Leadership interview (30 minutes).

Where you can work Work remotely anywhere in Canada, or from our Edmonton or Toronto offices.

Compensation Base salary ranges from $125,800 to $170,100 annually.
