We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected leader and innovator in their industry located Downtown Toronto. They are currently seeking a recently qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) from a large accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities and Oversight

Management reporting including financial results, variance analysis, and business performance

Assist with quarterly and annual financial close process including disclosure requirements

Analytical reviews of business results at the corporate level for reporting of consolidated results

M&A activities including accounting estimates, financial modelling review, and post-close integration

Ad hoc projects related to business initiatives focused on efficiencies and operational improvements

Business partner with portfolio finance teams to provide accounting guidance and contract reviews

Assist with complex accounting assessments around acquisition accounting and revenue recognition

The company is offering an excellent compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary and annual bonus program. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following

3+ years of progressive experience in a large public accounting firm

Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Experience auditing complex companies under IFRS

Acquisition accounting experience is an asset
