Who We Are Looking For Are you consumed by internet, smart home and security technology trends? The Connected Living Product team is seeking a dynamic Director, Product Management to lead our Smart Home & Security product management, to deliver revenue growth, customer value and competitive differentiation. The successful candidate will report to the VP, Connected Living Product Management. The role is based in Calgary or Toronto.

The Director will be accountable to deliver revenue and product profitability for Rogers’ Smart Home & Security portfolio. They will deliver a vision/strategy for the portfolio and deliver on product roadmaps, product marketing and channel delivery. The Director will forge strong working relationships with internal stakeholders including residential leadership, marketing, pricing, finance, analytics, IT, digital, network, legal & regulatory team. Strong candidates will be able to balance their own expertise and experience with the inputs from all these groups, always keeping top of mind customer experience, revenue growth and execution excellence. The Director must be comfortable making decisions, leading cross‑functional teams and managing the product line P&L.

What You’ll Do

Articulate a compelling product vision/strategy for the smart home and security portfolio

Take ownership of portfolio products, manage their P&L and develop business cases to support new initiatives

Connect product initiatives to business objectives and understand the impact on in year and YoY P&L

Work across the organization to own and maintain E2E smart home and security product roadmap including new product introductions and lifecycle management initiatives with line of sight to technology, marketing, digital, IT operational and sales driven initiatives

Owns Product P&L – business cases, cost down initiatives, margins, KPIs, forecasts, data driven decision making

Develop competitive differentiation for suite of smart home and security products

Become an expert in the competitive and industry trends. Deliver in depth and up to date analysis of industry best practices, competitive landscape and emerging technologies. Use to inform product roadmap/investments

Perform analytics to drive product adoption, reduce deactivations and increase usage

Identify and execute continuous enhancements to the product experience and journeys to drive product satisfaction metrics

What You Bring

Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in a product management role

Post‑secondary degree or diploma, MBA or Business degree an asset

Solid understanding of market trends and emerging technologies

Proven ability to manage and deliver successful products in an efficient and profitable manner

Passionate and knowledgeable about commercial platforms, smart home and security products and technologies

Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills with a strong ability to manage, influence and leverage a multitude of stakeholders

Strong time‑management and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast‑paced environment

A self‑starter who takes ownership and works effectively with little supervision

Proven ability to prepare and deliver professional documents and presentations to all levels of an organization
