As Vice President in the Investment Banking division, you will play a senior leadership role in originating and executing strategic M&A transactions across the power, energy transition, and infrastructure sectors in North America. You will collaborate closely with National’s Credit Capital Markets and Debt Capital Markets teams to identify and deliver financing solutions to our clients.
This is a senior-level position that grants you the opportunity to showcase your comprehensive industry expertise and highlight a deep understanding of relevant products and services. The ideal candidate is well-regarded within the industry, with a high degree of sector focus. Additionally, they have demonstrated experience as a trusted advisor to industry participants.
Your Job
As an Investment Banking Vice President, the individual will actively participate in a wide variety of transactions headed by senior members of the Diversified Industries ("DIG") Investment Banking team and will be expected to have a strong understanding of the industry sector as part of their responsibilities.
The individual will have a number of responsibilities which include the following:
Marketing, executing and structuring investment banking mandates focused on M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and other strategic advisory, project financings, and capital markets transactions;
Participation in the Investment Banking coverage of large cap companies;
Managing the preparation of presentations and other client materials for clients;
Overseeing the building of, and maintaining complex financial/valuation models;
Coordinating company and industry research;
Managing several projects at once and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team;
Providing mentorship, oversight and guidance to Associates and Analysts; and
Participating in the recruitment, development and training of junior team members.

Basic Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of relevant investment banking or M&A experience, of which at least 3 years must be as an Associate/Vice President;
Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or a field related to the sector of activity;
Relevant experience and prior client relationships in the Diversified Industries sectors;
Strong technical skills in financial modeling and analytical problem-solving;
Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders;
MBA, CPA, or CFA considered assets;
