A career within the Financial Services Consulting practice will provide you with the opportunity to use data, technology and industry expertise to design strategies and operating models that maximize business value and reduce risk for our clients. We advise leading Canadian financial institutions (e.g., Banks, Insurers, Credit Unions) on a wide variety of strategic and operational issues as well as design and implement transformational journeys that ensure our clients stay competitive during a dynamic and challenging time of change. In this leading role within the practice – you will be part of firm growth, sales and development in a changing and complex environment.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of As a Financial Services, Consulting – Director you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Helpestablish, maintain, and grow relationships with senior operations stakeholders in the financial services industry

Leading and deliver projects including bringing together the right perspectives, identifying roadblocks, and integrating feedback from clients and team members to enhance operations

Delivering significant business results utilizing strategic and creative thinking, problem solving, and individual initiative while keeping innovation at the forefront

Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities

Working alongside colleagues to manage end-to-end delivery (including project economics) of consulting projects, ensuring client satisfaction and relevance

Developing, coaching and growing team members

Communicating complex material effectively in written and oral formats to various audiences, including C‑suite, mid-level and front‑line stakeholders

Building strong networks within the firm to identify and capitalize on opportunities to support projects others are leading across several different business units and sectors

Conducting and managing market research and quantitative and qualitative analyses, including the synthesis of complex data into meaningful insights and the ability to grasp readily analytical frameworks and employ them effectively to either qualitative or quantitative evidence

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

Significant experience in a leading management consulting firm demonstrating knowledge of operations in financial Services, which may include specific knowledge of middle/back‑office functions in the retail bank, commercial bank, investment bank, or wealth business

Credibility with clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge in the financial services industry while driving business growth for the firm

Knowledge of the 3 Lines of Defense Risk & Governance model with in-depth experience with first line risk and governance (1B functions), including their mandates, accountabilities, and execution

Must have demonstrated e xpertise in operational excellence, process optimization, RPA and AI/Gen AI as it relates to enhancing the efficiency of operations within the bank

In‑depth knowledge of the 3 lines of defense model with a specific focus on the 1st line of defense and how the business effectively manages risk

Experience leading large scale managed services, including overseeing global capability centers

Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to present in a business context, provide high quality output, develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal colleagues.

Ability and agility to manage and oversee multiple client projects end‑to‑end while staying ahead of industry trends and changes while incorporating best practices

Self‑motivated with a passion for delivering high quality work, working collaboratively, and developing an array of skills and knowledge.

Passion for thought leadership, new business development and securing project extensions, including client lead maturation, proposal development, and closing new business opportunities.

Hands‑on experience managing and delivering significant business results that reflects strategic and creative thinking, individual initiative and motivating teams.

Proven success in establishing and curating client relationships at executive and working levels.

Desire and comfort working in an entrepreneurial, dynamic working environment.
