Mechanical Test Engineer - South Shore

Mechanical Test Engineer - South Shore I am currently partnering with an innovative manufacturing company in the insulated metal panel industry that is looking to expand its R&D laboratory team.

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will play a key role in validating and improving product performance through mechanical testing.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical tests on existing and newly developed insulated metal panels to evaluate and validate performance

Plan, execute, and document test procedures and results

Contribute to the design, assembly, and continuous improvement of custom mechanical test rigs

Work with pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, force and displacement sensors (analog and digital), and various instrumentation systems

Participate in the development of unique testing equipment, combining hands‑on experimentation with technical creativity

You will collaborate closely with R&D, technical services, marketing, and production teams in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

Your Profile

Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in mechanical testing, laboratory environments, or instrumentation is a strong asset

Proficiency in 2D/3D design tools and mechanical assembly
