Business Analyst – Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst – Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to support our corporate development team in evaluating and executing M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will conduct financial analysis, due diligence, market research, and strategic assessments to identify and assess potential acquisition targets.
Your Daily Contribution & Impact
Conduct financial modeling, valuation analyses, and scenario planning for potential acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships.
Perform in-depth financial and operational due diligence on target companies, including reviewing financial statements, contracts, and business models.
Assist in preparing investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for senior leadership.
Market Research & Strategic Planning
Analyze industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to identify potential acquisition targets.
Support the development of Uni-Select’s M&A pipeline by evaluating strategic fit and financial feasibility of opportunities.
Monitor economic and regulatory trends that may impact acquisition strategies.
Deal Execution & Integration Support
Assist in structuring and negotiating deal terms alongside M&A Director and Leadership Team and external advisors.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, operations, HR) to facilitate seamless preparation and integration.
Track post-acquisition performance and provide analytical insights to optimize synergies and growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
2-5 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or management consulting.
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, comparable company analysis).
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and deal structuring.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
Detail‑oriented with a high level of professional integrity.
