Job Description
As an Inventory Team Lead at Irving Oil, you will oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes for Canadian Terminals and Irving Energy, ensuring accurate reporting of business line results and timely billing for the region’s terminals. Your goal is to drive efficiency and precision in financial reporting while supporting operational excellence across the business. Success will be measured by the accuracy of reporting, the timeliness of billing, and the strength of collaboration within your team.

Your Responsibilities
Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting processes for Canadian Terminals and Irving Energy
Ensure timely, accurate billing and purchases for liquid product movements
Implement and monitor accounting policies and procedures
Manage relationships with business stakeholders and provide support to teams such as sales, operations, customer support, credit and tax
Provide regular supervision and feedback to inventory accountants
Your Skills
Excellent relationship building and customer service skills; ability to partner well with operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple stakeholders
Strong continuous improvement mindset
Strong analytical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Your Experience
Post‑secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting with a professional accounting designation
Eight years of relevant experience with strong accounting and industry knowledge, with at least two years of management experience
Experience building strong work teams and training and developing employees
