SCHOOL Competition #PLSD-2171 We are searching for an energetic and enthusiastic teacher with a strong background in teaching Social Studies. You will prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans with interactive learning activities for Junior and Senior High School. You will exhibit sound knowledge in effective teaching strategies by creating a stimulating learning environment using creative techniques to deliver quality content. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to learning is essential. Use of technology and a variety of teaching strategies to reach all learners will be most beneficial, as is working within a video conferencing teaching/learning environment. This is a full time temporary replacement position beginning February 2nd, 2026. This assignment covers a leave of absence and will continue until June 30th, 2026 or until the return of the permanent teacher. You will be responsible for delivery of the Alberta Education Social Studies curriculum for Grades 7 to 12, as well as teaching select CTS courses.
