Location: Woodlands Mon to Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm With AWS & Bonus MNC

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Managing Director of “company” Singapore is the senior commercial leader responsible for driving profitable growth across Southeast Asia. This role acts as both Country Managing Director and commercial leader, with direct accountability for revenue growth, market expansion, customer relationships, and sales team performance.

The role requires a leader who actively engages customers, leads key commercial negotiations, coaches the sales organization, and shapes go-to-market strategy. The MD is expected to spend significant time on sales management, working alongside the sales team and key customers to develop sustainable growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Commercial & Growth Leadership

Own and deliver revenue growth, margin improvement, and market share expansion across Southeast Asia

Develop and execute regional commercial strategy, including:

Market segmentation and prioritization

Channel and distributor management

Pricing and value-based selling strategies

Identify and develop new growth opportunities, including:

Strategic customers and projects

New industries, applications, or geographies

Cross-selling and solution-based selling

Lead major commercial negotiations and manage key strategic customer and partner relationships.

Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring market needs inform product, service, and strategy decisions.

Enhance “company”’s brand presence and credibility in the region.

Business & P&L Management

P&L responsibility for Singapore site

Drive cost discipline while investing strategically to support growth.

Partner closely with Finance, Marketing, HR and other operational sites to ensure:

Operational execution supports commercial objectives

Talent and capability development aligns with growth needs

Leadership & Organizational Development

Build a strong leadership bench within the commercial organization.

Foster a growth mindset, accountability, and ownership culture across the organization.

Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards, and local regulations.

Act as a role model for company values and leadership behaviors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.

A minimum of 10 years of progressive commercial experience, with at least 5 years+ in a sales leadership role (e.g., Regional Sales Director, Commercial Director) within the industrial manufacturing, capital equipment, or technical B2B sector.

Demonstrated success in driving significant growth in Southeast Asia, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, sealing, fluid handling, or engineered products environments. Exposure to project-based sales, EPC customers, or industry segments.

Strong strategic sales management capabilities with proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals and managing strategic accounts in the Southeast Asian market.

Demonstrated experience in directly building, coaching, and leading high-performance sales teams to exceed revenue targets and share goals.
