Within KPMG's Transaction Services practice, our professionals provide financial due diligence services on behalf of our clients to help them drive value from M&A (Merger & Acquisition) with a forward-thinking approach to deal planning. We are currently looking for experienced CPA professionals, at the Senior Associate level with Audit, Transactions Services and/or Financial Services experience.

Are you a talented individual with a proven track record on executing project deliverables? Our Transaction Services team in Toronto is looking for a professional like you with the skills and drive to make a real difference. As a Senior Associate, you will be working in multi-disciplinary teams and apply your professional and technical skills on a wide variety of transactions, at various stages of the transaction cycle.

What You Will Do

Support managers and partners in managing project timelines and deliver multiple simultaneous client engagements of varying size, scope, and complexity

Evaluate businessโ€™ historical performance and sustainability of earnings / cash flows, working capital cycles, financial projections, key contractual commitments, accounting policies and management control environment

Identify and report on key issues, perform the relevant financial analysis, and interpret results

Participate in KPMGโ€™s engagement teams with senior client executives, attorneys, and investors

Write detailed professional reports and other client deliverables

Establish credibility and develop relationships with current and prospective clients

On occasion, support other business units in a cross-functional role (e.g., Valuations, Corporate Finance, Restructuring, Global Infrastructure Advisory Group, etc.)

What You Bring To The Role

Must have a professional designation (CPA, CA) or working towards CPA

Experience in either Audit or Financial Due Diligence / Transaction Services

Financial and commercial awareness with sound investigative skills

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Ability to speak other languages is an asset (e.g., French, Mandarin or Spanish)

Effective verbal and written communication skills at a business level

Interpersonal skills with professional maturity and demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse group of clients and colleagues

Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment
