Job Description
Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a seasoned Sales & Marketing Director.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the team developing the Canadian launch strategy and brand positioning, including segmentation, targeting, messaging, and go-to-market planning.
Lead the national execution, working closely with global brand teams, medical affairs, regulatory, market access, supply chain and other functions to ensure launch readiness and alignment.
Build, recruit, train, and manage a Canadian commercial team, including marketing, sales, and field operations.
Design and implement marketing initiatives, including HCP engagement, digital campaigns, educational materials, patient support tools, and promotional programs ensuring full compliance with Canadian regulatory and promotional guidelines.
Collaborate with market access and pricing teams to support reimbursement, payer strategy, pricing, and provincial formulary submissions. Adapt to Canadian payer dynamics and regulatory environment.
Drive commercial analytics, forecasting, and reporting. Monitor performance, market uptake, KPIs, and competitive landscape; adjust strategy based on insights and evolving market conditions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or equivalent. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 10 yearsโ progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, with a strong focus on new product launches.
Proven track record of successfully launching new drugs in Canada.
Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare and reimbursement landscape including payers, provincial formularies, regulatory and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated leadership in building and managing high-performing commercial teams.
Excellent strategic thinking, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Analytical mindset, with capability to leverage market data, performance metrics, and competitive intelligence to drive business decisions.
