We’re looking for a Network Support Specialist to help deliver reliable, secure, and scalable network solutions for our growing client base. This senior technical role is ideal for someone who combines advanced network knowledge with clear communication and a commitment to raising the standard of network services across the organization.
As a Network Support Specialist, you will serve as a senior escalation point within the IT Services team, responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex network issues and supporting the delivery of network‑focused projects. You will work closely with Solution Engineers, Project Managers, and other senior technical staff to implement, maintain, and improve network environments across client sites. Your responsibilities will span routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, and VPN technologies, with a strong emphasis on reliability, performance, and security. Particularly within Cisco Meraki environments.
This is a full‑time, onsite role based in Grande Prairie, AB.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network issues involving switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPNs
Design, implement, and support network solutions for new deployments, upgrades, and migrations
Perform network assessments and contribute to solution planning alongside Solution Engineers
Maintain accurate network documentation, including topology diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and device inventories
Collaborate with project teams and service coordinators to ensure successful delivery of network projects
Mentor and support Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians, providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing
Monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
What We’re Looking For
Required
Fluent in English (spoken and written); excellent communication skills
Advanced network troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience working with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Microsoft Planner or Project is an asset
Experience with ConnectWise PSA or similar professional services platforms is considered an asset
Must Hold at Least One of the Following Certifications:
Engineering Cisco Meraki Solutions
Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist
Preferred Experience
2–5 years of experience in network support or a related technical role
Hands‑on experience supporting Cisco Meraki environments and multi‑site networks
Experience working in client‑facing support roles and project‑based deployments
