Position Overview A growing, mission-driven organization is seeking a visionary and results-oriented

Director of Finance.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this key strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial health, sustainability, and long-term growth.

The Director of Finance will lead the finance function with a focus on strategic planning, fiscal management, operational efficiency, and scalable growth. This role plays a critical part in aligning financial strategy with corporate objectives, ensuring compliance, optimizing performance, and supporting sustainable innovation across diverse operational sectors.

This opportunity requires strong financial acumen, business insight, and a passion for driving measurable value within an environmentally responsible organization.

$110,000 – $130,000 based on qualifications and experience

What we need from you: Experience & Expertise:

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.

CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.

7+ years of senior finance leadership experience

Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze costs, interpret financial data, and identify opportunities for efficiency and savings.

Strong command of corporate finance, accounting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.

Demonstrated success in managing multi-site operations or organizations with diverse revenue streams.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence executive decision-making while developing scalable systems and processes to support organizational growth

Advanced expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, ERP systems, cost accounting, and capital expenditure planning

Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights

Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across operations, compliance, HR, and field teams

Commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and social impact, with a hands‑on, proactive approach in fast‑paced environments

What you will do: Provide strategic financial leadership by aligning financial strategy with corporate objectives and sustainability goals. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning while monitoring cash flow, capital requirements, and return on investment. Oversee financial operations and reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls. Manage risk, audits, and external financial relationships. Build and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making. Support ESG initiatives and evaluate sustainable investments to drive responsible, long-term growth.

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days In your first 90 days, you will quickly assess our financial landscape, build strong relationships across the organization, and establish yourself as a trusted strategic partner to the COO and executive team.

You will identify opportunities to strengthen reporting, forecasting, and internal controls while delivering early wins that improve financial visibility and operational efficiency. By the end of the first three months, you will have implemented key process improvements, introduced clear performance metrics, and developed a forward-looking financial roadmap that supports scalable growth and sustainability goals.

Success means positioning the finance function as a proactive, data-driven leader, driving clarity, accountability, and measurable value across the organization.
