Layla Care is seeking two Marketing Associates to join our team on a 6-month contract to support the development and execution of engagement and collaborations initiatives as per the two streams below. These roles are ideal for early-career marketing, communications, or sales professionals with 2–4 years of experience who are excited to work in a mission-driven healthcare environment. Working within the Engagement & Collaborations team at Layla, the Associates will collaborate with the Healthcare Partnerships, and Clinical teams to support initiatives that improve access to mental health care by helping individuals, clinicians, and healthcare partners better understand and connect with Layla’s services. The

Field Marketing Associate (Stream 1)

role combines in-person outreach, developing and updating field marketing resources, engaging with referring healthcare providers (such as primary care) and clinics, supporting event planning, and conducting research and analysis. The

Digital Marketing Associate (Stream 2)

role combines written and visual content development, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) implementation, partnership marketing, and research and analysis. These roles are suited for individuals who enjoy working in an environment that balances both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution. Please note that part of the interview process will be in person at our office in Toronto in Liberty Village. Requirements

This opportunity is intended to be funded through the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment Program (YEP), delivered through National Research Council of Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP). As such, applicants must meet the following criteria set by the Government of Canada: Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive); Be a post-secondary graduate; Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada (applicants on work permits or student visas are not eligible); Be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations; Not be in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits or the candidate will cease to claim EI benefits prior to the employment start date; Be a first-time participant in a Youth Employment Strategy work experience program targeted at post-secondary graduates. Professional Experience

Field Marketing Associate - Stream 1 A post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, business development or relevant field experience. 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or sales, ideally in a fast-paced environment which could include a startup, small team or agency. Experience working in the field, in sales, experiential marketing, events or related experience working with customers or partners. Experience supporting marketing campaigns or initiatives, including content planning, coordination, or execution. Experience conducting research (e.g., keyword research, market research, or audience research) to inform marketing initiatives. Digital Marketing Associate - Stream 2 A post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, or relevant field experience. 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or content development, ideally in a startup, agency, healthcare, or nonprofit. Experience writing long-form content such as blog posts, articles, newsletters, or educational resources. and planning and producing marketing and educational videos (experience with youtube content creation is preferred). Experience supporting marketing campaigns or initiatives, including content planning, coordination, or execution. Experience conducting research (e.g., keyword research, market research, or audience research) to inform marketing initiatives. Experience managing multiple projects or deadlines in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Professional Qualities & Skills

Highly curious with a strong commitment to learning and professional growth, with an interest in developing marketing skills and understanding the evolving mental health landscape. Dependable and accountable, with a track record of completing work on time and maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail. Proactive and solutions-oriented, comfortable sharing ideas, identifying opportunities for improvement, and raising questions with a growth mindset. Team-oriented and collaborative, able to contribute to projects both in lead and support roles while working effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, partners, and external stakeholders. Organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities as marketing initiatives evolve. Location & logistical requirements

This is a hybrid, full-time, weekday schedule, requiring 40 working hours per week for a period of 6-months. This role requires working from our Liberty Village office one day per week. Access to private, quiet and confidential workspace that allows for the protection of confidential information and the avoidance of disruption. This is important for team collaboration as well as speaking to clients professionally and confidentially. Access to a mobile phone and internet connection with sufficient bandwidth and connection speed. The company will provide a laptop, and a set monthly budget to cover the use of personal devices for work. Additional requirements for the Field Marketing Associate (Stream 2): Access to a vehicle at least 2 days per week is required (mileage costs will be covered by the company) A valid drivers license, ability to commute in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) and York region, and ability to come into our office in Liberty Village in Toronto once a week, and ad hoc.
