Overview We are seeking a Geospatial Project Portfolio Lead to provide strategic oversight of our geospatial project portfolio, ensuring efficient delivery and consistently achieving revenue and profitability objectives.

Reporting to the PMO organization of Intelligent Grid Solutions (IGS) sector, the highly skilled and motivated Project Portfolio Lead will oversee a portfolio of 150+ projects, and a P&L (Profit and Loss) of >$30M.

The ideal candidate for the Geospatial Project Portfolio Lead will be able to engage in business outcome discussions at the executive level, as well as work with Project Managers, Project Analysts and Technical teams.

Supervise the health of a portfolio of >150 projects – IT/OT implementation, SaaS Subscription-based, Maintenance & Services

Implement, monitor, and control key performance indicators.

Monitor the overall performance of the portfolio in financial terms (P&L, and Cashflow). Initiate, recommend and if necessary, drive the actions necessary to address deviations to performance targets.

Chair the project and portfolio governance meetings with the project managers, project analysts, project financial controllers, and the leadership team.

Participate in resource management meetings, providing updates on staffing and timing for given portfolio of projects, raising project risks/issues, partnering with the other professional services groups to address the risks/issues.

Represent the PMO leadership in quarterly project budget approval sessions.

Provide mentoring to a team of 20+ project managers.

Work with Project Analysts to identify and remediate cases of project data accuracy issues in the systems.

Manage project escalations. Interface with executive sponsors in customer accounts. Develop creative solutions to complex issues and drive buy in both internally and externally. Lead the recovery plan.

Quality / project excellence: Ensure projects are following best practices and comply with the governance defined in the corporate Quality Management Systems

Continuously contribute to the company's profitability by initiating, recommending, and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives

Work with peers, provide the organization with strategic insight and fully participate as an active and collegial member of the Intelligent Grid Sector leadership team.

Acts as a champion to foster a positive project work environment; and successfully leads the team to accomplish all the project objectives on time and on budget.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Commerce, Economics or Business.

Proven experience of being responsible for a P&L in the utility space (>$30M per year)

5+yrs’ experience leading and managing large-scale, multifaceted enterprise-wide GIS/GWD projects.

Fully knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of the project management Body of Knowledge. Project Management certification (i.e., PMP) would be considered an asset.

Solid project financial acumen, excellent strategic critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with an exceptional attention to detail and a readiness to be hands‑on.

Excellent communication skills ranging from addressing C-Level to multiple technical teams.

Previous experience managing a team of 5+ Project Managers/PMO/Project Schedulers/Associate PM.

Ability to self‑direct and work independently.

Excellent written and verbal communicator

Experienced working with Microsoft Project, Project On‑Line, SharePoint, and PowerBI applications.

Excellent team building and motivational skills demonstrated in a multinational and multicultural environment.

Occasional onsite travel to client locations within North America and Europe is required.

Compensation In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range USD $200,865.60 - USD $242,028.80 /Yr.
