Intermediate/Senior UX Designer

📍 Toronto, Canada

Construction Rival Technologies

Job Description

We’re looking for an

Intermediate/Senior UX Designer

to join our product team and help shape the evolution of the Rival platform. You’ll work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to design intuitive, scalable experiences across a complex B2B SaaS product — from core workflows to next-generation AI-powered capabilities.

This role is ideal for a designer who is

highly fluent in Figma , comfortable delivering engineering-ready designs, and actively uses AI tools to accelerate design thinking, exploration, and prototyping.

Who are we? When you join Rival Group, you’re not just accelerating your career—you’re also helping shape the future of customer insights and market research.

We’re a forward-thinking, results-driven organization obsessed with helping innovative brands get closer to their customers in a way that feels fresh, organic, and fun. Rival Technologies, the tech arm of our business, is the world’s best conversational research platform and one of Vancouver’s fastest-growing tech companies.

Reach3 Insights, our consulting side, is an award-winning

market research agency with offices in Chicago, Toronto, and Vancouver. Together, we’re helping brands like Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s, Dell Technologies, REVOLT TV, and Roblox get better insights they can use to deliver better products, create more impactful marketing campaigns, and improve the end-to-end customer experience.

Our customers LOVE our tech and services. We’re growing fast—and we’re inviting great people to join us on the ride

If making measurable, immediate impact while having fun sounds like your jam, then we invite you to apply!

What you’ll do:

Partner closely with Product Managers to translate strategy, user needs, and technical constraints into clear UX solutions

Design end-to-end experiences across key areas of the platform, including:

Research and survey authoring workflows

Community management and engagement tools

AI-assisted analysis and insight generation experiences

Use AI tools as part of your design workflow — from early ideation and concept exploration to prototyping and iteration

Create high-quality Figma files with clear structure, components, variants, and documentation that enable Engineering to build efficiently and accurately

Deliver build-ready specs, interaction details, and edge‑case thinking to support smooth handoff and implementation

Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability

Collaborate closely with Engineering during build to refine interactions, validate feasibility, and ensure design intent is preserved

Participate in user research, usability testing, and design validation

Be a key member of multiple teams throughout the full product design lifecycle

Support and learn from other disciplines, for ex: brainstorm features with strategy, participate in user research, answer tech questions

Contribute to the overall growth and development of the IxD team

Manage and mentor junior/mid-level designers, helping them chart their career path and provide opportunities to grow

What You’ll Have:

3–5 years of experience in UX or Product Design, ideally on SaaS or workflow-heavy products

Experience working in a fast‑paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment

Advanced proficiency in Figma , including component libraries, auto layout, variants, and design systems

Demonstrated experience delivering engineering-ready designs and specs

Comfort using AI tools to support design work (e.g., concept generation, UX exploration, prototyping, or workflow modeling)

Strong interaction design skills and systems thinking

Ability to clearly explain design decisions and tradeoffs to cross‑functional partners

Nice to Have

Experience designing AI-powered or data-heavy products

Familiarity with conversational interfaces or mobile-first UX

Experience working alongside Design Systems or Material/MUI-based systems

Interest in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or emerging interaction models
