Senior Financial Information Certification (FIC) Analyst SOX, Finance
We are looking for a Senior Financial Information Certification (FIC) Analyst SOX, Finance to work together with various global finance teams to promote improvements in the quality of financial information. You will integrate yourself into your department and role while developing trusting relationships with different stakeholders. Assume responsibility for some of the organization’s operating cycles, identifying areas of risk at different stages of financial information preparation and working with different teams to find creative, effective solutions to such risks. You will also familiarize yourself with the requirements pertaining to Regulation to the Sarbanes‑Oxley Act and internal control documentation methods.
You'll Have The Opportunity To
Review and document business processes (via flowchart, narratives);
Identify, define and evaluate existing internal controls in order to meet certification objectives;
Proactively identify issues presenting a risk to the certification of financial information;
Coordinate control testing in each of our divisions;
Perform special mandates and project assistance requested by upper management;
Support each division’s Financial Information Certification teams;
Participate in the continuous improvement of processes with managers from the finance function and other functions;
Ensure BlackLine system and testing templates are up to date and changes are incorporated properly;
Proper interaction and coordination with external auditors;
Provide training to the trainees and monitor them while they perform their testing to ensure quality and timely work.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance;
Have or be in the process of obtaining an accounting certification;
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience;
Mandatory bilingualism, written and spoken (English/French);
Attention to detail; excellent analysis and synthesis skills;
Self‑sufficiency and initiative;
Strong priority management and multitasking skills;
Passion and curiosity with respect to BRP products, customers and markets.
