Mortgage Creditor Insurance is on an exciting growth journey, and we are looking for someone to join our team! We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join the Product & Platforms team to drive our product strategy, ensure we’re making progress on our Transformation, and exceed mortgage broker & customer expectations.
Reporting into the Director, Product & Platforms – Mortgage Creditor, the Mortgage Creditor Senior Product Manager is accountable for product delivery activities from our product roadmap with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. In addition to supporting ongoing product initiatives, they also support day-to-day product management activities and monitor and service the inforce block of business.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Mortgage Creditor product shelf, ensuring we are maintaining, and launching new market-competitive solutions. You’ll partner closely with our key functional partners like Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Compliance to bring these to market. You’ll champion user-centricity and balance the needs of the business and customers. You’ll work closely with your Platform peers to drive the implementation and participate as a key member of our agile way of working. Your insights will influence process improvements and make a significant impact on our product offerings. Position Responsibilities
Business/Product Development support
Execute on the product roadmap and strategy, including market positioning, product vision, and consumer value proposition.
Development of products, including benefits, features, riders, and compensation structures.
Work with Sales management and Pricing to identify gaps & redundancies in the product shelf.
Actively look for opportunities to streamline and find efficiencies in the portfolio.
Participate in Requests for Proposal (RFP) when required.
Provide guidance in developing and maintaining competitive information for the sales team.
Develop leadership updates to brief the Affinity Leadership Team & Mortgage Creditor Team when competitors make key product changes.
Work with the Mortgage Creditor transformation team on implementing the transformation agenda.
Product Maintenance/Risk assessment
Collaborate with Legal, Claims and Pricing to review Certificates/Policies.
Help to identify the impact of new legislation and compliance guidelines on product, and participate in the implementation of required changes and updates.
Create or update client facing material (Certificates, Master Policies, Product descriptions, Product Cards).
Partner with Sales Management and Marketing teams to support the development, compliance product review, and maintenance of marketing collateral materials and Websites.
Identify and implement continuous improvement process opportunities with internal stakeholders.
Identify potential risks to the organization and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with the mortgage creditor product line in a product management, sales, or operations capacity.
In-depth understanding of mortgage creditor insurance.
In-depth understanding of mortgage creditor business and distribution.
Understanding of competitive landscape, market share and trends.
Solid grasp of competitor’s products, including product features and pricing comparisons.

Salary range is expected to be between
$92,900.00 CAD - $142,900.00 CAD
