Job Description
We’re looking for an Intermediate Systems Engineering Analyst to work with our Applications team. In this role you will help shape the evolution of the Land Command Support System (LCSS) network. The LCSS enables command, control, and communication across Canada’s Army operations. You will contribute to key architectural and design decisions by collaborating closely with DND and program teams. You will identify gaps and areas of potential improvement within existing capabilities to support the end user.
What You’ll Do
Provide system and product level design and support
Document system and subsystem requirements specifications, interface control documents, design documents and use cases
Manage System Problem Reports (SPRs) and Observations by providing proper upfront analysis and input to support bug fixes as well as seeing each SPR properly closed
Provide guidance and support to the development teams for the implementation and revision of capabilities within LCSS
Support integration and test activities, including reviewing test cases, analysing results, and helping resolve discrepancies
Participate in meetings and reviews with both internal teams and external stakeholders, presenting insights and recommendations
Take ownership of deliverables and contribute to meeting key program milestones and commitments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or applicable scientific discipline is required
2+ years of System Engineering or Systems Architecture experience
Experience and working knowledge of systems engineering tools including DOORS (Preferred DOORS Next Generation), Rational Team Concert (RTC) and UML/SysML
Knowledge of the system development process and lifecycles
Knowledge of the requirements definition and management
Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills
Reasonable understanding of software, firmware, operating systems, data terminals and basic networking
Enthusiastic contributor, willingness to learn new skills and take ownership of work
It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems‑Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.

The hiring range for this position is $75,000–$90,000 CAD annual.
