Job Description

Canada Compliance Director We are in relentless pursuit of breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. As the primary compliance advisor to the Canada leadership team, you will foster a culture of quality, integrity, and risk mitigation across all business units.

Responsibilities

Develop and drive Canada Compliance and risk program, including a plan that addresses the market’s risk profile.

Establish a culture of accountability and integrity to prevent systemic non‑compliance.

Lead risk assessment, mitigation, and coordination with regional compliance leads, risk assessment office, and monitoring & analytics.

Champion the implementation of corporate and divisional policies, develop local guidance, and partner with SMEs to design effective policy and training frameworks.

Design and deliver training curriculum, communicate best practices, and coordinate monitoring plans in line with risk assessments.

Collaborate with Investigations, Monitoring, Audit, and CCR teams to develop and execute corrective actions and remediation steps.

Support global and regional risk initiatives as requested.

Oversee and manage one or two compliance professionals and co‑lead a team of selected market compliance champions.

Qualities and Experience

University degree in Law, Finance, Business, Medicine, or Science with a strong academic record.

10+ years of professional experience in Compliance, Legal, Finance, Commercial, or Business Operations.

Deep knowledge of the U.S. FCPA, local regulatory environments, international and local Codes of Practice, and Pfizer SOPs, policies, and procedures.

Proven track record of developing effective controls and solutions for innovative business initiatives.

Competencies

Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills.

Ability to partner with key business leaders as an advisor and risk‑management partner.

Capacity to encourage innovation and responsibly challenge the status quo.

Excellent written and oral communication in English and French; ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.

Good understanding of local pharma Codes of Practice and health‑care compliance risk areas.

Strong communication to promote and sustain a compliance culture as a leader.

Ability to manage time and resources efficiently.

Proficiency in utilizing AI to enhance everyday tasks.

Self‑directed, able to work autonomously and as part of a team to resolve complex matters.

Understanding of escalation principles and independence.

Compensation The annual base salary for this position ranges from $144,750 to $241,250.

This salary range applies only to Canada.
