Job Description

You’ll be joining CIBC’s **Core Banking and Payments** group and will be at the heart of CIBC’s Payments Technology initiatives.

As Sr Consultant, Application Development, you will be accountable for establishing, executing and driving the technology application delivery for Payments Technology. You will work with multiple application teams in the organization for the technology development (operational and project initiatives) using the latest technologies. You will assist in shaping the strategic technology direction in accordance with the business roadmap, determine technology optimization, appropriate risk management, and provide the development and maintenance capability for payments technology systems, applications and processes to meet current and future business needs. This role has full accountability for a variety of technology disciplines and hands-on development work would be expected.* **Technical Design and Development**- Strong skills in technical design, troubleshooting, production control, and problem solving, extensive hands-on development experience with a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and teams, and demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve technical problems.* **People Leadership –** Lead and coach a high performing group team of individuals via indirect reporting. Share knowledge and collaborate to come up with effective solutions to problems.* **Relationship Management –** Work closely with clients and business partners to develop, test, and implement application program. Impact and improve the business by advising application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements.- **Strategic Development & Execution:**Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities. Understand the business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology roadmap. Design and document the technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations. Lead the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet both business objectives and the goal of operational efficiency.- **You can demonstrate experience of 8+ years** **software development , preferably using Go Lang.** leading the design, development, and implementation of robust payment technology solutions while providing technical expertise and guidance in troubleshooting, production control, and problem resolution for complex payment systems.
