Base salary CA$80,000.00 – CA$200,000.00 per year, with performance‑based incentives and profit‑sharing.

Type & Compensation

Full‑time, on‑site (Toronto, ON M5S 2V6). Occasional remote flexibility after six months.

Responsibilities

Manage your own litigation files from inception to completion. Co‑counsel senior lawyers on complex, high‑stakes cases. Draft claims, defenses, applications, motions, affidavits, and factums. Argue motions, case conferences, applications, and trials. Prepare for and conduct discoveries and hearings. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials. Use litigation software to manage files efficiently. Develop and execute case strategies to secure optimal outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

3+ years of solid civil litigation experience (estate, commercial, and real estate preferred). Good standing membership with the Law Society of Ontario. Deep knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Courts of Justice Act. Experience with motions, case conferences, trials, and discoveries. Proficiency in drafting persuasive legal documents. Strong courtroom advocacy skills. Hands‑on experience with ACL, LexisNexis, WestLaw, CanLii, Cosmolex, and Caselines. Familiarity with Teraview, ESC, and other legal research databases. Advanced negotiation, client‑service, and client‑management skills.

Bonus Points For

Previous experience working with legal experts. Published legal research, articles, or cases. Experience with legal practice‑management software. Bilingualism (an asset but not required).
