Purpose: This position is responsible for planning & forecasting, management reporting, business case analysis and ad-hoc projects and analytics. They work with others within the finance team and other business units to support financial planning initiatives.

Job Responsibilities: > Working with the finance and business unit teams to complete month end reporting packages featuring KPI and financial statement reporting with variance explanations

Looking beyond the numbers and providing actionable insights. These will help guide strategies, optimizing performance, and ultimately help achieve our business objectives.

Assist in preparation of Board Presentations

Assist with the development of an annual budget and forecasts as required

Support the business unit teams in business case preparation and ad‑hoc analysis as required

Help develop and implement systems and processes to enable product, business unit, customer and supplier reporting

Assist in the development, implementation and reporting of key performance metrics

Support and provide analysis of store and customer profitability analysis

The successful candidate will be able to work independently, have excellent systems capability, a strong attention to detail and meet necessary deadlines

Qualifications:

A post‑secondary degree in accounting or finance

Ideally have an MBA/CPA or working towards completion of MBA/CPA

5‑10 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or in similar analytical roles.

Skills:

Highly organized with an eye for detail, ability to work independently and strong time management skills

Experience with various technology platforms and software, MS Office with an advanced ability working with Excel

Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills both oral and written

Demonstrated ability as a problem solver who takes initiative and is solutions‑oriented

Ability to maintain confidentiality is mandatory

Ability to prioritize, plan and strong sense of urgency

Exceptional time management skills and the ability to handle several tasks at once

Excellent with numbers and a high level of accuracy

Good writing and communications skills

Liaise with all levels of the organization in a professional, courteous manner
